A precise, light-to-the-touch therapy recognized by both the international medical and spa wellness communities, Dr. Emil Vodder’s Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) is the perfect rehabilitative tool for a wide range of inflammatory and stress related conditions.  This 40 hour training introduces students to the anatomy and physiology of the lymph vessel system and provides practical instruction in MLD strokes, techniques and protocols for individual body parts.Learn more about MLD and this class.

Background of Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD): First practiced n the 1930's in the South of France where Danish born Emil Vodder and his wife Astrid (a Naturopathic Doctor) began treating  inflammation and swollen lymph nodes caused by sinus Infections, the technique was first popular with the esthetic industry due to its remarkable rejuvenating effects. It later became popular as an effective physical therapy for the treatment of Lymphedema.

NCNM is pleased to offer this the first of a two-part intensive training, taught by the founder of ASTECC. ASTECC offers certification in Spa Body/ Wellness licensed through Dr. Vodder’s School International.

Presenter Bio

Anne Bramham is a respected industry mentor with more than thirty years of professional experience as a consultant, designer, and trainer of spa therapies. Ms. Bramham has been an instructor for the Dr. Vodder School of North America since 1995. In 1996, she opened the first hospital based lymphedema treatment center in Florida.

Ms. Bramham is the founder of ASTECC (Advanced Spa Therapy Education Certification Council) and has introduced ASTECC training to top spa wellness destinations throughout the US. Her clients include Montage Resort & Spa properties, Grand Del Mar, Spa Shiki Four Seasons and the Ritz Carlton.

In 2006, in conjunction with the Dr. Vodder School International, Ms. Bramham developed the curriculum for the Spa Body Wellness Certification program. Based on the teachings of Dr. Emil Vodder and licensed by the Dr. Vodder School International, Spa Body / Wellness training focuses on the therapeutic application of Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) in spa, wellness and rehabilitative medical settings. Ms. Bramham has trained hundreds of practitioners in the art and science of MLD.
