This weekend workshop provides students an opportunity to observe and practice a variety of skills, methods, and techniques used in mind-body healing. Students expand and develop their interview and assessment skills, as well as the integrated use of several brief-therapy, mind-body healing modalities useful in naturopathic practice.
Participants will learn specific mind-body healing techniques. The course format includes lecture, demonstration, and multiple breakaway skill labs. Dr Dye will present introductory material, including detailed written protocols of each process. Students will have opportunities to explore mind-body-healing methods in class through demonstrations of techniques, group activities, and supervised breakaway practice sessions.
Attendees will develop a working familiarity with the various mind-body concepts, techniques and processes presented, including:
Recognizing core issues and desired state
Assess the appropriate use of mind-body healing techniques in specific cases.
Students will learn specific mind-body healing techniques:
Holographic imagery process
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT): Drawing from EFT (Gary Craig) and Thought-Field Therapy (Roger Callahan) and integrating lessons from Dr. Dye's BioLinquistic Kinesiology.
Eye Movement Clearing (EMDR) process: Draws on EMDR training (Francine Shapiro) integrating experience of Dr. Dye and integrating complementary energy psychology.
Practice ‘supervised’ mind-body healing sessions with a classmate, demonstrating the ability to perform several mind-body therapeutic approaches.
Utilize SUD units (subjective units of disturbance), imagery, and heart rhythms to assess therapeutic change during a session.
Locate opportunities for advanced trainings in methods introduced in the course, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Thought-Field therapy (TFT), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Holographic Memory Resolution (HMR), and others. Many of these have certification trainings that are open to NDs and ND students.
Document a mind-body healing session in a SOAP format appropriate for a patient chart.

“John Dye, ND is a gifted teacher, physician and counselor.
He has designed and synthesized emotional clearing and interviewing techniques that rapidly get to the core issues.
Since taking several of his weekend trainings I have become a much better interviewer and have the ability to ask the questions that bring out the underlying unresolved emotions that have prevented my patient's from getting well.
His vast experience at obstetrics and unique approach to multi- dimensional preconception counseling are truly impressive.
